How not to get lost among the sights of the capital? What to see in Moscow in a few days to stay with a sense of "accomplished duty"? Where to go on your own, and where - with a guide?
Moscow is beautiful! This is stated by me, Lera, who has been living, studying and working in the capital for almost 5 years, and the editors of the HowTrip website, for which I am writing this text (although we add to “Moscow is beautiful!” “For 5-7 days ").
During this time, the city became my home. I know each of its areas and am always looking for some interesting places. My friends and I often joke that in the capital you can find images of many cities: here is Kitay-Gorod, somewhat reminiscent of St. Petersburg, but you drive along the Garden Ring and see a piece of Berlin, and here is Hong Kong (but no, this is Moscow City).
- Choose hotels and hotels in Moscow on RoomGuru (more options and it is cheaper than on Booking), and apartments and studios - on Sutochno.ru.
Where to go first in Moscow?
All the most important things in Moscow are in the center. Even on the metro map, you will see special marks with landmarks. For those who are going for the first time or want to learn about new places, I will tell you what to see in Moscow in 3 days - on your own or not, it's up to you.
And I will tell you where to book excursions in Moscow in advance - yes, they are already officially allowed. All street excursion agencies are switching to online booking mode, offering their services on 2 major services:
- Tripster - "on the head of the day" here is full of individual excursions, ie. for limited groupsfor example, just you and your company.

The Red Square
State Historical Museum and St. Basil's Cathedral on Red Square
Let it be quite banal, but I will put Red Square in the first place! The main attraction of Moscow and a place that attracts all-ex tourists-novices. Any route in Moscow starts from here.
Summer it is a huge pedestrian area with crowds of people. If you don’t want to “fight” with the Chinese for a place with a favorable view of the Spasskaya Tower or the Cathedral, come in the morning until 10 o'clock. In winter, in December-January, as for me, Red Square is at the peak of its beauty: a Christmas town is being set up here - an elegant Christmas tree, a skating rink with Soviet hits, shops with pastries and tea, garlands everywhere!
Significant points in the square:
- the Kremlin itself with the Spasskaya Tower (those same New Year's chimes), the Armory (entrance 1000 rubles) and Cathedral Square (entrance 700 rubles);
- the mausoleum where grandfather Lenin lies - admission is free, but you have to stand in a long line, and the mausoleum is open only three hours a day, from 10:00 to 13:00;
- GUM is one of the most expensive and pretentious shopping centers in Moscow. What is worth your attention here is delicious ice cream in a glass for 100 rubles (my parents say "a taste from childhood");
- St. Basil's Cathedral, "gingerbread" because of its unusual domes.
Entrance to Red Square is free.
Open around the clock.
Metro station: the best way is to get to Okhotny Ryad station.
Alexander Garden and Okhotny Ryad
Fountains near the Alexander Garden and Manezhnaya Square, which is decorated from season to season
After Red Square, you find yourself in the Alexander Garden. People come here to watch the changing of the guard or sit near the fountain "Four seasons" or, in a simple way, a fountain with horses.
Nearby is Okhotny Ryad. This is a shopping center built in such a way that you can walk on its roof, and this roof, together with the adjacent territory, is called Manezhnaya Square. There is a large food court on the lowest floor of Okhotny Ryad. In summer, grab a takeaway and sit by the fountain or on the lawn in the Alexander Garden for a bite to eat.
Beware, beauty: a festival is held on Manezhnaya Square throughout the year Moscow Seasons - there are always thematic installations, decorations, events are held. In winter, for example, the most beautiful Christmas tree in Moscow and a Christmas town with treats from all over the world are installed here! Pumpkins, apples and hay are scattered across the square in autumn, and Easter decorations in spring.
The entrance is free everywhere.
Metro station: "Okhotny Ryad".
Central streets of Moscow and TSUM
Where do Muscovites walk besides parks? Along the central streets of the capital!
1) Go straight from Red Square to Tverskaya, and there - wherever the eyes look. Do not be afraid to turn into a narrow street, there you can find a park or old houses. Walk to the Eliseevsky store, it always surprises: I seem to find myself in the Hermitage with food counters :) High ceilings, chandeliers, scope!
2) You could not help but hear about Arbat... It is here at every turn street performers, artists and just punks creative personalities. There is also a museum-apartment of Pushkin and the Tsoi wall. Novy Arbat is located very close, there are more retail outlets with food, advertisements and bars.
Some of our popular walking spots are the Central Department Store and Nikolskaya Street.
3) Always decorated Nikolskaya street - the most photographed place in Moscow. After the Red Square, of course, from which it begins and stretches along the GUM. Throughout the year, depending on the season, garlands with lighting or tinsel shimmering in the sun are hung all over the street. Place for a photo on Instagram # 1!
4) There are similar decorations on the street. Kuznetsky Most... There are fewer people, and the Bolshoi Theater with the Central Department Store on the way to see. In winter, TSUM is traditionally decorated with a red bow with a ribbon and Christmas trees - it turns out such a gigantic gift. Even in summer, its Gothic architecture resembles a palace rather than a shopping center with the most expensive brands.
The Bolshoi Theatre
Yes, it is difficult to get to the Bolshoi Theater, tickets for performances are sold out instantly. For those who are lucky enough to be inside, a historic hall with balconies and a huge stage opens.
Let the Bolshoi Theater be beautiful outside too - on a summer day it's nice to sit on the square near and watch the huge queues of visitors - but you still want to get inside! Therefore, there is an alternative to expensive tickets: an excursion to the Bolshoi Theater.
Metro station: Okhotny Ryad, Teatralnaya.
Patriarch's Ponds and Malaya Bronnaya
Patrick and Malaya Bronnaya street with a bunch of cafes and restaurants - come here,
to be seen!
Patriarch's Ponds is a small park with a pond, a beautiful and expensive area. It is known as the initial setting in the novel "The Master and Margarita" and for numerous references in Russian films and TV series.
In the summer, all of Moscow's bohemia gathers at Patrick, as the locals call it, especially in the evening of the weekend - actors, bloggers, and other popular figures of something. And on the adjoining Malaya Bronnaya street, the concentration of no less bohemian (and instagram) cafes and restaurants is off the charts. However, the mini-program "a glass of aperol + a place on the terrace + a summer sunset" I would definitely include in my plans.
Metro station: get to the metro station "Pushkinskaya" or "Mayakovskaya", then walk for about a kilometer.
The main parks of Moscow
Probably now one of the main parks in Moscow - Zaryadye Park
Large, well-groomed, green, blooming - all this is about the parks of Moscow. There are so many of them here that I (frankly) were not even in all of them.
1) I'll start with my favorite - Gorky Park. A place where Muscovites spend their free time: in winter they ride an ice rink, and in summer they relax on sun loungers by the pond, rent scooters or bicycles and ride in the evenings. The park is large, you can't go around in one day.
Free admission.
Metro station: "Oktyabrskaya" or "Park of Culture".
From the editorial board: And we really like to walk from the Kremlin along the Prechistenskaya embankment (along the way, waving to the monument to Peter I) to the Crimean bridge - and along it to go to Gorky Park.
We took a photo at the entrance to Gorky Park
2) Zaryadye Park is the pride of Muscovites and an unusual park for foreigners. They created it so that the entire flora of Russia was shown and told. For this, pavilions with excursions and modern digital screens with information have been built. The most interesting thing in Zaryadye, in my opinion, is the Soaring Bridge over the Moskva River.
Free admission.
Metro station: "China town".
3) For lovers of Russian history, I advise you to visit the Kolomenskoye park. It is notable for the fact that it used to be the residence of the kings. Monuments have been preserved here: churches, palace pavilions, chambers, wooden architecture.
For me, Kolomenskoye is always more of a spring park, because I have not seen such an abundance of flowering apple trees anywhere else.
Free admission.
Metro station: "Kolomenskoye" or "Kashirskaya".
VDNKh
I could not find the best photo of VDNKh, so I leave here Pavilion 71 🙂
The park that all our grandparents know about is VDNKh (Exhibition of Achievements of the National Economy). All because of the "Friendship of Nations" fountain and numerous pavilions that represent the culture of the former republics of the USSR.
Now there are more modern exhibitions. Pavilion 34 “Space” has always been the most interesting for me. Where else can you see satellites and parts of rockets live?
Children will be interested in visiting the "Robostation" pavilion with modern robots. And if you go deep into the park, you will see a real fighter. For the smallest, there is a petting zoo with goats and pigs, which is cool even for adults.
In winter, the largest and longest skating rink in Moscow opens at VDNKh. And in the summer there are concerts.
The entrance to the park is free: but some pavilions still require a ticket from 200 rubles.
Metro station: "Exhibition Center".
Ostankino Tower
There is a good park for walking near the Ostankino tower
It's still interesting to look at the one where everything that we see on TV is done. I always limit myself to external admiration, but in general the Ostankino 540 meters can be “conquered”. At an altitude of 340 meters there is an open (!) Observation deck - the rise costs from 900 to 1700 rubles per person.
Note: many sites offer to go to the restaurant "7 sky" a dozen meters below the observation deck - to save money, and pay the price of a cup of coffee for the view. This is wrong. To access the restaurant, you need to buy a ticket to the observation deck.
Outside, the Ostankino tower is illuminated, fireworks are launched from it on special holidays. Nearby there is an alley of cosmonauts and the Korolyov house-museum.
The nearby Ostankino Park is also a very pleasant place. First, the tower itself is clearly visible from here. Secondly, it is green, shady and landscaped: there are even special areas with barbecues!
Metro station: "Vladykino" or "Alekseevskaya".
Moscow City
This is how Moscow City fits compactly into the frame. Where exactly to take a photo - look in the text below 🙂
Not many make it, but many dream of seeing and taking pictures against the backdrop of a complex of skyscrapers called Moscow City. The famous skyscrapers of the capital, of course, are already noticeable from everywhere, but to come and see how modern, glassy and unusual they are is another matter.
It's hard to take a cool photo near Moscow City, so head for the Taras Shevchenko embankment across the Bagration Bridge. There is a point - on Googlemaps it is designated as Moscow City View Point - from where all the skyscrapers fit into the frame.
Metro station: "Exhibition", you will arrive directly at one of the towers.
From the editorial board: In the "Where to stay in Moscow" section, we will tell you how to organize views from the upper floors of the City skyscrapers at an unbelievable price per night!
Sparrow Hills
View from Sparrow Hills to Moscow
It is possible to see all its views in Moscow for free, even from a bird's eye view! You just need to get to Vorobyovy Gory - a huge hilly park with a panoramic view of the capital. You can see Moscow City, Stalin's skyscrapers and parks, and on the other side there is Moscow State University.
For the first time, I was still a visiting schoolgirl here and I remember what emotions aroused in me:
- at first the species themselves,
- and then the cable car from the mountains to the Luzhniki stadium! I advise you to go for a ride, but ideally it's cheaper to guess the day: the price of the trip is 100-400 rubles one way or 150-600 rubles round trip (depending on the day of the week, on Monday it is cheapest, on weekends it is more expensive).
Strong wind blows on Vorobyovy Gory even in summer, so take warm clothes.
Metro station: "Sparrow Hills" or "University".
China town
My favorite area of Moscow is Kitay-Gorod. I often walk here with friends, and every time we make sure that we feel as if in St. Petersburg.
In general, Kitay-Gorod is located in the center (the Kremlin itself is part of it), but for me the most authentic part is Myasnitskaya Street and the adjacent lanes. There are many cafes and bars, the Biblio-Globus bookstore, and the main building of the HSE University stands. It is no wonder that hipster coffee houses with a cozy atmosphere have settled on the streets of the district.
Metro station: Kitay-Gorod is large, but it is best to come to the metro station of the same name and start a walk at the Polytechnic Museum, make a circle through Biblio-Globus and end with the Gorka city park.
Victory Park
Victory Park on Poklonnaya Gora will appeal to fans of military themes. The most impressive thing here is the Victory Monument almost 100 meters high.
In spring and summer, they ride scooters and bicycles in the park, hold big concerts on May 9 and Russia Day. And in winter they build an ice rink and create an exhibition of ice figures. Food courts are always open for those who are hungry, and free playgrounds for children.
Metro station: Victory Park.
Tverskoy Boulevard
Long Tverskoy Boulevard, ideal for walking
Tverskoy Boulevard - walking route from the monument to A.S. Pushkin and to the monument to Timiryazev.
This is a narrow park that is decorated on holidays and turned into an entertainment place for tourists and locals. On the way, see the theaters named after Pushkin and the Gorky Art Theater, notable for its external form.
Metro station: Chekhovskaya, Tverskaya, Pushkinskaya, Arbatskaya.
Bakery
"Hipster" place in Moscow - Khlebozavod. There are cafes / offices and places to sit here 🙂
So, let's go to the Bakery. Do not be alarmed, I am not sending you to bake bread :) Earlier there was a bakery production complex here, hence the name.
Now the Bakery is a trendy place, a hipster corner with a loft aesthetic. Graffiti, fairs, garage sales, designer shops, master class schools, interesting small cafes.
Literally across the street is the Flacon design quarter, well-known in youth circles. Those who love street art and summer verandas will love it here.
the entrance is free.
Metro station: Dmitrovskaya.
Hermitage Garden
There are many picnics in the park
The Hermitage Garden is a small, "unused" park almost in the center of Moscow.
In summer, the most beautiful and atmospheric festivals are held here, performances and concerts of jazz music on the summer stage, dance evenings, and in winter they set up an ice rink. There are food courts, coffee shops, free toilets.
Metro station: Tsvetnoy Boulevard, Tverskaya.
Observation decks in Moscow
Observation deck at the Central Children's Store (it was once free)
Observation decks are a great option to solidify your city experience!
- The main point with a panoramic view is observation deck in Moscow City, located in the Federation Tower on the 89th floor.
Ticket prices: from 10:00 to 13:00 on weekdays - 900 rubles, from 13:00 to 22:00 and on weekends - 1400 rubles, for children under 6 years old free.
- About the observation deck in the Ostankino TV tower I told above.
- Right in the center of Moscow in the CDM (Central Children's Store) you can go up to the roof for 50 rubles. The view is not the same as from the high-rise floor, but Red Square and the Kremlin are nearby. Eh, but literally a couple of years ago it was free ...
- Few know, but at the Carlson restaurant there is also an observation deck. In summer, there are tables on the veranda overlooking the Nevskaya embankment, the panorama opens up to 180 degrees. It is located in the Novokuznetskaya metro area in the Central City Tower. Admission is free, you can take a cup of coffee (300-350 rubles) and sit on the terrace.
I advise you to definitely get to Moscow City, it is very beautiful there
Museums in Moscow
If among the readers there are art lovers like me, then I advise you to visit the following museums in Moscow. The most famous of them are enough to get around in 2 days, and some exhibitions can be seen for free, the main thing is to know when.
Tretyakov Gallery.
A popular and crowded museum. There is New Tretyakov Gallery with exhibitions of contemporary art (Muzeon Park, Oktyabrskaya metro station) and State Tretyakov Gallery at the Kadashevskaya embankment (Novokuznetskaya or Tretyakovskaya metro stations).
- The ticket price both there and there starts from 300 rubles.
- Every Wednesday you can get free to the permanent exhibition in the New Tretyakov Gallery "Art of the 20th century" (for this you need to take a "free" ticket at the box office).
Garage Museum of Contemporary Art.
Favorite place for Moscow residents. There are always unusual expositions, some kind of its own atmosphere, interesting dark rooms with projectors.
- Admission to the museum for adults is 500 rubles, for students - 250 rubles, children under 10 are free.
- Free access to the museum is available every Friday from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm. To do this, you must register at garagemca.org in advance on Thursday.
- The Garage is located in Gorky Park, the Oktyabrskaya metro station.
Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve.
For those who love royal palaces, large gardens and fountains. Here they conduct excursions around the palace complex of the 18th century Catherine II.
On summer days, a huge fountain works on the territory of the museum, you can sit on the grass near the ponds, sometimes festivals are held.
- The entrance to the reserve is free.
- The cost of a ticket to the museum itself is 200-400 rubles, depending on the exposition.
- Orekhovo metro station.
State Museum of Fine Arts named after Pushkin.
It is here that huge queues line up for visiting exhibitions. But in my opinion, it is more interesting to come to permanent exhibitions: there is a huge statue of David, and the art of Ancient Egypt and Rome, and what not!
- Admission for adults - 400 rubles, complex ticket - 600 rubles.
- The museum is located at the Kropotkinskaya metro station.
Shopping centers
Next to the Afimol shopping center in Moscow City / And the familiar MEGA in Khimki
I would include in interesting places in Moscow and ... shopping centers.
The most central shopping center - Okhotny Ryad... Its plus is the location and abundance of shops with inexpensive clothes. Located near Red Square, the metro station of the same name.
You will find a shopping center near the Kievsky railway station European... My friends and I come here most often, as it is the largest. The elevators with a fountain are beautifully illuminated inside. The best place to shop is here, located at the Kievskaya metro station.
There is also a shopping center in Moscow City Afimall - by the number of stores it is similar to the European one, but there are more luxury brands and shops with household goods.
In general, if you go to Moscow to shop NOT in the mass market (I'm not talking about luxury goods, but about interesting designer shops), I advise you to decide in advance - what, where, for how much. Because it is unlikely that you will be able to sort things out like this on the spot (if you are in the mood for something other than Zara, Bershka and Pulenbea). For example, I really like the clothes in Chaika and Studio-29 - you can see the addresses on their Instagram pages.
I also adore markets-fairs - when all-all-all small designers of anything gather in one place and excite the souls of crowds with clothes, shoes, cool things for the house, gluten-free bread :). Well, there are a lot of them in Moscow, especially in summer. True, in pre-quarantine times, so wait for me until next season. So offhand I will name two of my favorite markets - Lambada Market and Veter Summer Fest.
The best excursions in Moscow and prices
This is how Red Square is decorated for the New Year (second photo)!
As mentioned earlier, air tickets and hotels have already gone online - it’s the turn of excursions.
Now there is no need to look for an aunt with a megaphone on Red Square to sign up for the same bus that takes tourists around iconic places. Everything is done online and in a couple of clicks on two sites - I recommend studying the "assortment" on each one, it has gone much further than the framework of "Bulgakov's Moscow" and "boat trips":
- Tripster
- Sputnik8
Do you know what is the biggest plus of online booking? Reviews! People leave honest, extensive reviews - did they like the excursion, was it worth the money.
Here is a list of the most popular excursions - about which they are used to shouting into the loudspeaker in places where tourists gather:
* but if they seem boring, you know where to look for something fun
- The most popular is a group sightseeing tour of the capital in the evening. You are shown the famous sights of Moscow, while traveling by bus. Relaxed, and the lights sparkle beautifully.
The duration is 3 hours, and the cost is from 990 rubles. - Would you like to go in a group? Families and groups of friends often choose a private tour - a long walk through small alleys. The excursion takes place in the center, but along paths not trodden by tourists, but along quiet, unusual back streets.
Duration 2.5 hours, cost - 5200 rubles for a group of up to 10 people, regardless of the number of participants. - An excursion to the Bolshoi Theater is ideal for those who did not manage to buy a ticket to the performance.
Duration 2 hours, cost - 1950 rubles - Interested in the Moscow metro and want to know all of its stations? Take a tour of the 7 wonders of the Moscow metro - you will be told and shown all its secrets. But stock up on your travel card!
Duration 1.5 hours, cost - 650 rubles - For Bulgakov's fans, a special route is organized in Moscow - an excursion on the tram 302-BIS. See Moscow through the eyes of the heroes of the novel The Master and Margarita and find out where Annushka spilled her oil.
Duration 1.5 hours, cost - 750 rubles - Who said that walking on the roofs is possible only in St. Petersburg? It is not just that the phrase "and from our window Red Square is visible" is slightly changed to "and from our roof the square ...", which means that there is where to look. But it is imperative that it would be with someone - so they take a tour of the rooftops of Moscow.
Duration 1 hour, cost - 1500 rubles
Where is the best place to stay?
Icon Hostel is good. Located in Moscow City, you can admire the view for an inexpensive price!
As you can imagine, I am not the first hotel specialist in Moscow, as I live here all the time. The guys will tell you about their experience below :) I asked around friends who recently came, here:
- Hostel Netizen (Boulevard Entuziastov) - I liked the atmosphere and loft interior. There is breakfast, comfortable places for work and rest. Its big plus is that the Rimskaya metro station is very close. Price list per night - from 650 rubles.
- 4 * Pentahotel Moscow (Arbat) - advised because of the location and positive reviews. Excellent service, cozy and stylish rooms, a gym. For a double room, the price starts from 5500 rubles per night.
From the editor of HowTrip... We fly to Moscow 2-3 times a year, we stay in apartments and hotels. We search and book hotels / hostels on RoomGuru - because there are many more services for booking hotels than one, and Rumguru compares them all (including Booking, which is not always profitable). Here are the options that have been tested in practice and where we are returning:

Where to eat in Moscow?
We will have breakfast in Bush at the Central House of Music / And have dinner at DEPOT
What to see in Moscow in 3 days is one thing, but where to eat these days is quite another. There are more gastronomic attractions in the capital of Gora-a-Azdo than cultural ones.
Tips from the author.
I often dine with friends at inexpensive establishments or food courts, so there is something to share.
- My favorite place with a low price tag and delicious food - Market place... This is a restaurant-dining room where you can see the process of cooking and choose which cuisine you want to try today. There are 3-4 kitchens, a bar and a lot of places. Average bill - from 300 rubles for lunch.
Addresses: Myasnitskaya, 13; European shopping center.
- On Novy Arbat, I advise you to visit Lunch Buffet - a modern dining room where you are given a tray and you choose what to take. There are vegetarian options, pastries, a bar, fridges with smoothies and yoghurts and whatnot. The price is calculated per grams per plate. The average bill is from 400 rubles per person.
Addresses: Novy Arbat, 15; Presnenskaya embankment, 10.
— Food court in the Okhotny Ryad shopping center - for those who do not want to leave the center. Here on the ground floor there is fast food, Georgian cuisine, Asian cuisine, etc. I often take noodles and Chinese pies in Long Meng, there are also visiting Asians (quality mark, huh). The minimum amount for a large portion of noodles with vegetables is 100 rubles.
Addresses: Shopping center Okhotny Ryad.
And if I'm too lazy to go anywhere, I use the delivery of homemade food from Kitchen in the District. And I advise you, because:

Favorite places of HowTrip editorial staff.
Favorite laptop / breakfast spot - Bloom'n'Brew
Oh, there are so many things in Moscow - you can't try. Before each visit, we mark several new places for food, but we do not reach all of them. Still, the good old-tested ones also want to visit!
So let's go:
* we tried to make a universal selection - for a family lunch after a walk in the center, and for breakfast; captured trendy places, coffee shops, and interesting cuisine
** the order of listing the establishments does not mean anything
- Varenichnaya number 1 - a good place for a family visit, as many as 19 are scattered around the city, almost at all the main attractions. Who among adults and small ones does not like wa-re-nich-ki? Sweet, salty, plus soups, cutlets - in a word, Russian cuisine. The price tag is normal, a portion of dumplings is from 200 to 300 rubles.
Addresses: Teatralnaya ploschad, 5, building 3; Arbat, 29; Tverskaya, 14. - Daily bread - This is a bakery café, both for early breakfasts (open from 7 am) and for lunch. Forty-six addresses in Moscow are found at every step, which is convenient. Dish for breakfast - 200-400 rubles, lunch (appetizer, main, drink) - 400-500 rubles.
Addresses: Nikolskaya, 8/1; Rozhdestvenka, 6/9/20; Pyatnitskaya, 6/1. - Jagannath - a network of vegetarian cafe-canteens. We often eat here, if you like something near Indian, you will also like it. Yes, not the friendliest guys work here, but you can put up with it. The best set in the world: lentil cutlet (50 rubles), rice (45-75 rubles) curry with chickpeas (150 rubles) and veggie candy (60 rubles).
Addresses: Kuznetsky Most, 11; Gruzinsky Val 28/45; and 5 more addresses.

Delicious food at the College
- Gastrobistro College - the best restaurant in Moscow, calls itself the Technicum, and we agree. It has excellent cuisine (tuna, shawarma, poke, pintsa tartar - ♥), great chef Vitaly Istomin (you haven’t subscribed to him on Instagram yet? :)) and tables are always packed, so book in advance, or come on weekdays until 3 days. The price tag is above average - 500-800 rubles per dish - but there is a 20% discount on weekdays from 12 to 6 pm.
Address: Bolshaya Dmitrovka, 7/5. - Bloom'n'Brew - favorite coffee shop. Spacious (on Vyatskaya) - it is convenient to come to work with a laptop, bright, stylish. Good coffee (250 rubles), brunches and delicious blueberry pancakes (280 rubles) all day.
Addresses: Nizhnyaya Krasnoselskaya, 35, p. 48; Vyatskaya, 27, building 2. - Roaster coffee - specialty coffee shop on Tverskaya. The best according to some kind of award, and the coffee is really good (200-260 rubles).
Address: 4th Tverskaya-Yamskaya, 2/11, building 2.

Hummus from Bright Israel Grill and showcase of divine bars from Raw To Go at DEPO (also our favorite places)
- Foodmall DEPOT - a huge space where local points of the best Moscow establishments are collected. You can go here for two weeks in a row, and you can't cover everything! We want every large city to have such a catering format. There is also Danilovsky and Usachevsky, but they did not really "come in" to us, the Depot is more modern.
What to try in the Depot (but you yourself will find what to catch on to☺):
— Soul In The Bowl - here they make i-de-a-l-ny poke with tuna (380/570 rubles), just believe me, we have not tried it better anywhere else.
— Raw to go - Vegan desserts without milk, sugar, eggs and white flour. Take a peanut bar aka super-correct snickers (150 rubles), the taste is indistinguishable!
— Bright Israeli Grill - a safe bet - falafels and kebabs. Local pita with main courses (300-450 rubles) is very airy. We usually take falafel and shish tauk.
In the evenings, especially on weekends, the Depot is not crowded, you have to wait to take a table or a counter. On weekends, from 7-8 in the evening, they arrange live performances (somehow we got to Arseny Borodin and Temnikova).
Address: Lesnaya, 20. - Francois bakery - the most delicious croissants in Moscow (125 rubles). Dot.
Address: the most convenient to the center - Pechatnikov lane, 19/22, bldg. 1. - BUSHET - a pleasant pastry shop in the Children's world, there is also a lunch menu (pasta and omelettes). We are especially fond of monograms with raspberries or cherries (140 rubles), and the coffee is quite good here.
Address: Central children's store, entrance from the street. Rozhdestvenki, -1 floor.
Small bonus
Congratulations, you have made it to the sixteenth page of text (in terms of A4 pages that I am currently writing).
I offer a mutually beneficial exchange! :) You, an attentive and patient reader, leave a comment on this article. And I will send you by mail the name of the place where they serve best / cool / instagram / satisfying / unusual breakfasts in Moscow.
Until recently, they worked only for delivery and gained insane popularity, now they have acquired their own real corner. I am waiting for you at the bottom of the article!
Where to go with children?
If you are planning to come to the capital with a family with children, then for you the choice of what to see in Moscow and where to go for free is even wider.
In summer, come to Moscow Zoo... All animals walk around the enclosures, you can buy food and feed a giraffe or flamingo. It will be interesting for children to see elephants and zebras, it is worth looking at night dwellers in dark rooms.
Admission ticket: for children under 17 free of charge, for adults - 800 rubles.
