Each tour operator has its own price for vouchers, even to the same hotel. Let's say one is lucky with a regular flight instead of a charter, while the other is just “on fire” and needs to be sold urgently. There are many reasons, but we are interested, first of all, who has what is cheaper and how not to overpay.

search for all major tour operators, analyze their database of offers and display the most profitable tours for the required dates. To put it simply, they act like a Skyscanner, but on tours.
By the way, on the same sites you can catch hot tours in August. They usually appear towards the end of the month and, more likely, to visa countries - Spain, Greece and Bulgaria. Which, of course, is not relevant yet. So far, only Turkey is on fire for us in the future (if they open it).
Where to go in August by the sea?
An interesting situation is developing with trips abroad in the 2021 season. On the one side, vacation at sea in August can be spent almost anywhere - many "beach" countries in the spring allowed Russian tourists to enter. On the other side, the resumption of air traffic is delayed until the last, and from a whole list of summer countries you can fly directly from Russia only to ... one.
Open countries for August 2021:
- Greece - I am glad that there are direct regular flights from Moscow; I'm not happy that there are only two of them a week (there are no charters and tours), plus a Schengen and PCR test are needed.
- Montenegro is a very real option; as in the old normal times, tourists get with a short stopover in Belgrade (and planes fly to Serbia every day). No tests!
- Georgia (Batumi) - it seems to be asking if we are ready for the sake of khachapuri and mountains to pass two PCR tests and find a ticket with a transfer? If so, see the link article for all the details.
- Cyprus - yes, there are direct flights from Moscow and the regions: regular and charter; tourists take two tests and relax on the island both independently and on a tour - but semi-officially, since the flights are "passenger-and-freight".
- Tunisia - in terms of the situation with flights, it is similar to Cyprus, but "cargo and passenger" tourists are transported only by charters from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and there is only one test.
- Bulgaria and Croatia are very much waiting for us, but getting to them is another task ... and no one canceled visas with a test.
- Turkey - there is only one thought, "can we already open Turkey, in the Krasnodar Territory, and so crowded until November?"
Of course, after this controversial list, it seems that the easiest way is to fly to the sea - and even with direct official flights - to the UAE, Egypt, Mexico, Cuba or the Maldives ... But in August, the first two are so hot that even the locals prefer to stay at home. and in the Caribbean there may be a large / small but obviously unpleasant storm.
And which of those suitable for August is still closed?

August is one of the most expensive months for traveling abroad, and this is not surprising: the weather is sultry, the period of general vacations begins, and everyone comes to the sea.

Turkey
Where can you spend the summer in 2021? Good old Turkey - option number 1. But not in terms of climate, but in terms of popularity among Russians. Who will not be attracted by visa-free travel, sun and seals rest on the warm sea?
In August, the water temperature of the Mediterranean Sea is + 29 ° С, i.e. in fact, it does not bring any relief from a 35-degree steam room. The whole range of sensations is revealed in conditions of heat and stuffiness that subside only at the end of the month. It is a little easier on the Aegean coast - the daytime temperatures are the same, but the air is drier and the water is cooler, + 26 ° С.
Where to go to the sea? In August, most often they go to the resorts of the Antalya coast: to budget Alanya, wildly humid but green Kemer and Fethiye, sandy and "children's" Side, five-star Belek. The Aegean Bodrum, Marmaris (for young people) and Kusadasi (for children) are less crowded.

Bulgaria
Bulgaria in August meets three main requests: where to go inexpensively, where it is not hot and what to choose with a child. I would add without a visa, but it would be too perfect.
The end of summer is high season here. Bulgaria stands out for its dry climate, and the heat is not felt as clearly as in other countries. This combination + weather (+ 30 ° С in the air and + 25 ° С at sea) = comfortable rest in any place on the coast.
Albena collects the best reviews as a city-hotel with a wide beach and a gentle entrance to the water, but it is focused on tourists with children. Popular locations for adult vacationers are Sunny Beach, where there is a decent base of hotels and good infrastructure, and Golden Sands with an eternal movement.
You can have an inexpensive vacation in the cities of Sozopl, Nessebar or Burgas - there is a large selection of cheap hotels. For a high level of service and all inclusive go to Elenite. The resort of Pomorie is also well-known, where they strive for the sake of a mud lake and healing springs.

Greece

Where to fly to Europe in the summer? Greece is a country where the season in August is at its peak both in demand and heat.
In early August, the sun heats up to + 35 ° C and continues to burn the shoulders, noses and necks throughout the month. The advice on rescue in water is not particularly relevant, it feels more like a compote than something refreshing (+ 26 ° С ... + 28 ° С).
Beach holidays in Greece in August are highly dependent on the chosen resort. Tourists "by experience" recommend considering either the island of Kos - as blown by the winds that carry away the humidity - or mainland Halkidiki, where stuffiness and stickiness are experienced in the shade of greenery. Rhodes and Crete are also "windy", but they can be stormy.
- There are no tours to Greece in August 2021 yet. There are only regular flights from Moscow to Athens.

Cyprus
If you still do not know where to go to the sea in August, then Cyprus is one of the "mass" holiday options in 2021.
Firstly, the visa is done free of charge and online in just 1-2 days. Secondly, the island is not rich in attractions, but it has the obligatory attributes of a beach resort - white sandy beaches, warm water and delicious cuisine. Downright Turkey (but the link will tell you why not).
But! If you are heading to Cyprus in August, be prepared for the aggressive sun. The weather is not suitable for everyone, it is very hot here, and the humidity jumps from low to exorbitant. The air is + 35 ° С, the sea also warms with its + 28 ° С.
Ayia Napa resort is recommended for youth and party-goers. Noisy, crowded and not bored. The best beaches are in Protaras, chosen by parents with children. Paphos and Larnaca may not be so impressive by the coast, but excursions are more convenient from here.

Montenegro

There are not so many European countries where you can travel in August without a visa. Or rather, only one, Montenegro. It is a pity that inexpensive is not entirely about her, the last month of summer is considered a "biting" period.
The weather in Montenegro in August is characterized by low humidity, the air warms up to + 31 ° C during the day. In principle, you can choose any resort, a warm sea is guaranteed (the water temperature on the Adriatic is + 26 ° C).
An excellent and, of course, crowded beach - in the villages of Becici and Rafailovici, not far from which is the noisy sleepy Budva. For beauty and landscapes, we advise you to go to Kotor. Croatia
Croatia is one of the few places where a beach holiday in August is comfortable in terms of climate. From here, the minus immediately comes: the coastline will hardly suit anyone with the number of tourists. The country is so natural and "homely" that even nondescript beaches (large-pebble / concrete) do not frighten off the flow of people.
The end of summer is, according to reviews, the best period for a trip, although the weather can erupt in a brief downpour. The air temperature is + 28 ° С ... + 31 ° С, the Adriatic Sea heats up to + 24 ° С ... + 25 ° С. Due to the low humidity in August, Croatia does not exhaust you with heat, but allows you to really relax (but the basic instructions for a vacation in the sun should be followed).
Where to go? The further south you go, the warmer - Makarska Riviera, Dubrovnik. In the north - the Istrian peninsula - fresher, the popular resorts of Rovinj and Poreč. Nice beaches in Central Dalmatia and all inclusive hotels in South.

Which resort is the best in August? The Costa Brava has a cool sea with a sharp entrance; on the Costa Dorada - fine sand, Port Aventura, and facilities for families with children. Lloret de Mar is the most budget and party town; The Canary Islands (Tenerife) and the Balearic Islands (Mallorca) are the most acceptable in terms of climate, and Barcelona itself in August is full of sales and crowded beaches.

But from Milan it is easier to get to the lakes than to the sea.

Where is it warm and you can swim? There is still a beach holiday in Portugal in August, although the country is clearly not about the hot sea. You can swim either in Madeira or in the Algarve. Combine cultural and educational, and beaches - in Lisbon and the surrounding area (Estoril, Cascais) or in Porto.
Malta

Where to go abroad in an "unbeatable" direction? Malta is not included in the country for a beach holiday, although it takes with rocky landscapes, azure sea and a walking and contemplative component.
Since the island is located in the southernmost part of Europe, the weather is warm and clear here all year round. The hot August climate is not very well tolerated. there is moisture, and little greenery. Air temperature + 30 ° С, water warms up to + 27 ° С.
A classic summer beach holiday in Malta is no more than a yes. The beaches in the cities are stone-concrete with an inconvenient descent into the water. In the capital, Valletta, there are none at all. The only piece of sandy coast is in the north in the village of Mellieha (together with 5 * Radisson hotels). But, we note that Malta does not claim to be a seaside resort: it is proud of its history and school of English.

Where to go in Russia?
In August, everyone is in a hurry to rest. And no resort will break the record for the number of Russian tourists than our Black Sea. Grandmothers with grandchildren, those who are not allowed to travel abroad, and those who are not confused with a foreigner are in a hurry. And you know what? All this crush does not spoil the rest in the least. We were at the beginning of August in Adler, went, so to speak, without expectations, and ... we liked it! Especially the sea is clean, transparent and warm. But you need to know where to rest on the Black Sea coast. After all, you can go:
- in Sochi - and go crazy with the ascents / descents in the city in the heat and not the most pleasant sea for swimming
- to Anapa - and be horrified by the blooming green water and algae in a swimsuit
- to Crimea - and finally appreciate what it is like there
- or to Adler, to the area of the Nizhneimeretinskaya Bay - and feel discontent only in the battle for a place on the beach :)
At the end of summer, it is hot in Russian resorts - outdoors up to + 30 ° C, and the water is warmed up to + 27 ° C. Which, however, does not exclude several days of rain and storms at sea.
