1.Tom yam kung - hot spicy and sour soup with mushrooms and shrimps. Truly, the symbol of Thailand for Russian tourists. Be sure to order a bowl of rice to extinguish the heat in your mouth with it (not with water or beer!). If you are not confident in your abilities, ask to put less spices, but do not ask to remove them altogether - it will be a completely different soup, not Thai.

2.Pad Thai, fried noodle - noodles or rice, fried over high heat with pieces of chicken, meat or seafood of your choice. Mixed with fresh soy sprouts and crushed peanuts.

3. Papaya salad (som tum, papaya salad) - a salad of unripe papaya, green beans and tomatoes with different spiciness of dressing. There is an option with crab meat. For the first time, ask to put in as little spices as possible and order rice. The salad is considered super healthy.

4. Chicken with vegetables and cashews

In Thai cuisine, it is customary to combine salty, sweet, spicy and sour in one dish. A dish with cashew nuts in sweet and sour sauce is a must-try in Thailand.
5. Green curry (Kaeng Khiao Wan Kai, green carry) - a very popular traditional dish among the local population. Green curry paste, coconut milk, bamboo shoots, chicken basil, galangal eggplant and lime. Careful, it can be very sharp.
