How to get to Berlin from Prague by train, bus and taxi - practical advice for active travelers.


The three main ways to get to Berlin from Prague are by bus, train or transfer. Of course, you can fly by plane, but this is not very profitable: firstly, it is much more expensive, and secondly, you often have to fly with long transfers. A ticket from Prague to Berlin, for example, will cost from 60 euros and take 11 hours (including transfers), while you will get to Berlin by bus in 4 hours and spend half the money.

How to get from Prague to Berlin by bus

Perhaps the bus is one of the most popular and cheapest ways to get from Prague to Berlin.

To catch cheap tickets, adhere to simple rules: buy tickets as early as possible, monitor the promotions of low-cost carriers on official websites or with us, buy e-tickets and try to buy them immediately there and back - often it costs much cheaper (by 10-20% ).

Bohemian Lines organizes low-cost transportation from Brno and Prague to Germany (Berlin), Norway (Oslo), Finland, Denmark and Sweden. The popular Czech carrier Student Agency has a rather high ticket price: for the Prague - Berlin flight (one way), tickets will cost in the range of 30-34 euros. If you are under 26 years old, tickets will cost € 30. The earlier you book, the higher the chances of catching cheap tickets (the so-called first minute fare) - for example, when booking a month in advance, you can buy tickets for 23 euros instead of 30 euros. Buses run 4 times a day (five on Monday): at 7:30, 9:30, 15:30 and 17:30. Depart from Florenz station and arrive at Berlin Main Bus Station (ZOB am Funkturm).

Eurolines

One-way flight Prague - Berlin: adults - 740 kroons (26 euros), children from 12 to 25 years old and seniors - 666 kroons (24 euros). Agree, not too budgetary. Of course, you can buy a ticket for 600 kroons (21 euros) at the promotional rate, but in advance and without refund.

The bus runs between Prague and Berlin three times a day: at 7:00, 9:00 and 18:00. Departures from ÚAN Florenc and arrives at Berlin's main bus station. Tickets can be bought on the website: www.elines.cz.

Orange ways

This low-cost carrier, originally from Hungary, travels the Budapest - Berlin route via Prague. Cost - from 22 euros one way. Arrives in Prague at the Florenc station (at 7:45 daily), the final one is the main station of Berlin (at 12:30). You can purchase tickets on their website: www.orangeways.com.

How to get from Prague to Berlin by train

There are eight direct trains from Prague to Berlin. The earliest train Prague - Berlin is at 6:29 am, travel time is 4 hours 46 minutes. Departure from the main station in Prague (Praha hl.n.), and trains arrive at the main station in Berlin (Berlin Hbf (tief)). The tief addition means that the platforms are on the lower floor, in the underground lobby.

Another tip is to try to get your tickets in advance. Ticket sales start 60 days in advance. If you want to travel by night train (denoted by the abbreviation EN), you will have to fork out - the ticket will cost 1,755 CZK, that is, 63 euros.

Please note that on the main page of the Czech Railways website, special offers are often published for various destinations - both international and within the Czech Republic. Transfer Prague - Berlin
